MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS TOO

Who Are We?

About Us

Our vision and mission
Our vision is help people recover well from mental ill-health such as stress, anxiety, depression, burnout and trauma, and to create a more rich, full, and meaningful life.
How Do We Do It?

We support people by providing:

  1. effective, evidence-based counselling support to people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, complicated grief, and/or trauma.
  2. high quality training for health professionals, caseworkers and educators in motivational and imagery-based therapy techniques.
  3. simple, easy to use resources that help people improve their mental, emotional, physical, behavioural, social, spiritual, and motivational health and wellbeing.
What makes us unique?

We are different from other counselling and training services in three ways:

  1. We specialise in the use of advanced imagery therapy techniques that help people recover more quickly
  2. We combine counselling, coaching, and training to provide brief and rapid interventions to promote faster recovery
  3. We take a holistic approach to counselling, exploring, and growing every aspect of wellbeing – mental, emotional, physical, behavioural, social, spiritual, and motivational.
  4. We are a partnership of professionals committed to helping people recover well from mental ill-health.
Kenneth Cole

Founder, SuccessTalks

Kenneth is a professional counsellor with a passion for helping people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, burnout, and poor performance. Kenneth combines evidence-based therapies with cutting-edge imagery techniques to successfully help people find a way through their challenging circumstances. Kenneth also integrates life coaching with counselling practices to help people achieve goals and create a vision for a more rich, full, and meaningful life.

Kenneth is also an engaging, experiential trainer who loves teaching health professionals, case workers, teachers, and organisational staff how to improve mental health. His courses go waaay beyond mental health first-aid, focusing on mental health muscle building! Kenneth uses a holistic approach to health and wellbeing that helps people improve every aspect of life – mental, emotional, physical, behavioural, social, spiritual, and motivational.

Kenneth is currently completing his second Ph.D., exploring how imagery techniques can be used to help people recover more quickly from mental ill-health. His research builds on his first Ph.D., examining the impact of unemployment on a person’s ‘psychological capital’ (self-esteem, confidence, emotional stability, and self of responsibility), and how to strengthen these personality traits through training.

Kenneth also has over 25 years’ experience in the Australian and State public services and private sector as a research, project management and policy officer, trainer, and counsellor. His experience includes projects to improve the mental health of students in schools, professional development skills for health professionals, and motivational techniques for case workers. Combining his knowledge, skills, and experience, Kenneth is passionate about equipping people to improve their mental health and support others. This wealth of knowledge and experience is the foundation of the counselling and training support he now provides to others.
